Self-Compasison Blueprint
A self-paced self-compassion blueprint for anyone tired of being their own worst critic. Built from lived experience and made to be practised (not read once and quietly shelved with the others).
It's Wednesday.
Your eyes open. And before your feet even hit the cold floor, your inner critic is already up, dressed, and ready to go.
You should be further ahead by now. You wasted yesterday. Today's going to slip through your fingers too, and we both know whose fault that'll be.
You lie there under the weight of it. Shoulders already climbing toward your ears. Jaw already set for a fight. You haven't even poured your first cup of coffee. Haven't opened a single message. You have not, technically, done one thing wrong. And your whole body is already braced against all the mistakes you haven't even made yet.
It took me the better part of 30 years to work out that this voice isn't telling you the truth. It isn't even yours. You picked it up a long time ago, the way a small child picks up a language, without ever choosing it.
And anything that was learned can, slowly and gently, be unlearned.
Tell me if any of this sounds familiar…
You cry. Then you apologize for crying. Then, roughly four seconds later, you apologize for apologizing.
You lie awake at 2 a.m. building the case against yourself. Airtight. Beautifully argued. Not one witness for the defence.
Someone hands you a real compliment, and you feel it slide clean off, while a criticism a teacher said to you in the fourth grade is still lodged behind your ribs.
You've moved mountains for everyone else and then let yourself down without blinking. The walk you didn't take. The early night you've been promising yourself since roughly March.
You’ve said "I'm fine" so many times it comes out on its own now, before you've even checked whether it's true.
You keep a meticulous running tally of everything you've ever gotten wrong, and seem to have misplaced the one for everything you got right.
You've bought the self-love book. Possibly a small stack of them. Read a few pages, and quietly closed it, feeling worse because you can’t quite seem to apply it.
None of this means something's wrong with you.
It means nobody ever taught you how to be on your own side. That's a completely different thing, and it happens to be the thing we can change together.
It's not about willpower.
If you're anything like me, you've spent years assuming the fix was more willpower. A firmer hand. Time to stop being so soft and finally get a grip.
Here's the plot twist. You needed the exact opposite the whole time.
And no, this isn't the part where I tell you to stand in front of the mirror and announce that you love yourself. If you tried that tomorrow, some stubborn back-row part of you would fold its arms, roll its eyes, and refuse to hear another word. Mine certainly would.
So we don't start there. We start somewhere your mind can actually believe.
"I'm having a hard time" instead of "I'm such a mess."
"I'm still learning this" instead of "I always get this wrong."
Small. True. Just warm enough to loosen the grip a little. There's no test and no gold star, and there's genuinely no way to fail at this. You can only practise it, clumsily at first (the way every single one of us did), until some ordinary morning it's simply how you talk to yourself.
Being kind to myself felt very foreign at first. Uncomfortable and awkward. I decided to sit with the discomfort and get curious about it, rather than avoid it and push it aside. That’s one of the keys to personal growth - choosing curiosity over judgment.
Curiosity leads to discovery, while judgment reinforces our shame.
So, here's what you're getting.
The Self-Compassion Blueprint is a self-paced supportive guide. It began as a live group course, the kind of digital gathering where people exhale for the first time in years, and now it's yours to move through at your own kitchen table, in your own time, at whatever hour the house finally goes quiet.
It's built on something that took me a long time to understand. Giving yourself grace doesn’t mean you’re going too easy on yourself. Being kind to yourself doesn’t make you weak or undisciplined. And compassion isn't a reward you get once you've earned it.
Self-compassion is a survival skill. It's the ground the rest of your life gets built on. When you learn to meet a hard day with a bit of warmth instead of the usual interrogation, the whole inside of your life starts to feel steadier.
Six modules take you from "why is that voice even in there" all the way to "oh, I actually treat myself like someone I care about now." No woo. No pressure. No performing wellness for anybody. Just steady tools that work, from someone who needed every one of them first.
This is a compassionate coaching resource. It sits alongside professional therapy and treatment, never in place of it.
( Instant access. Yours to keep for good.)
This was made for you
Somewhere further back than you can probably remember, you worked out that love was something you had to earn. Be useful. Be easy. Don't need too much. Keep everyone comfortable, and maybe, if you did well enough, they’d love you.
And you became so good at it. Scary good.
You're the one who knows everyone's coffee order and can't recall the last time a single person asked yours. The one holding the whole family together with two steady hands and a jaw that never quite unclenches. The one friends call when their world is falling apart. You’re the strong one.
Take a moment and really think about all the people you've held up, the plates you've kept spinning, the storms you've weathered so quietly that everyone around you assumed you were fine. That's a kind of strength most people don’t acknowledge. The willow that bends low through the storm and is still standing in the morning was never the fragile thing in the field. It was the strongest.
But the strong one gets tired.
The strong one deserves a place to rest too. The strong one needs gentleness and kindness as much as anyone else. You don't have to earn rest. Or love. You never did. You mattered before you were useful to a single soul, and you matter right now, on your worst day, with a full inbox, an unmade bed, and nothing crossed off the ever-loving to-do list. Not once you've fixed yourself. Now.
What’s Inside…
This isn't a document you skim once and never open again. It's a small kit you'll reach for on the good days and the rough ones, for years. Here's everything that comes with it.
01 The six-module workbook.
This is the heart of the whole thing. Six guided modules, and every one leaves you holding something you can do, not just a nice idea you'll forget by lunch. Each module hands you the teaching, my honest take from lived experience, a practice you can make your own, journal prompts, and a few mantras to carry with you. It reads like a conversation, because that's exactly how it started.
02 The printable mantra cards.
Small, true sentences on cards you can print and hold in your hand. The one you prop against the kettle so it's the first thing you read each morning. The one that lives in your coat pocket for the school pickup that always seems to evaporate your patience. The one you make your phone wallpaper so it ambushes you (kindly) every time you check the time. Little visual cues you can tuck anywhere in your day.
03 The 30-day integration calendar.
One small, kind thing a day, most of them under five minutes, so this becomes a lived practice rather than an afternoon of reading. Built by someone who knows precisely what your inner critic will do the first time you miss a day. It'll murmur, see, you can't even manage this. The calendar has already planned for that little speech. So you don’t have to worry.
04 The six-week companion emails.
A note from me landing in your inbox each week, walking you through one module at a time, like a steady hand on your shoulder. So on the weeks when life gets loud, and the workbook sits there closed and slightly accusing, you're still moving. Still held. One small step at a time.
What each module actually does for you
Why Self-Compassion Matters, so you finally understand why you've been this hard on yourself for this long, and why none of it was ever a character flaw you were born with.
The Four Pillars of Self-Compassion, so kindness stops being a lovely word you can't quite reach and turns into four simple things you can actually do on a rainy Tuesday in June.
Rewriting Your Inner Dialogue, so you can catch that running commentary in the act, answer it back, and slowly build a voice in your head that's on your side for once.
Self-Compassion in Relationships, so you can stay close to people without quietly abandoning yourself to keep them. (Phew! This is huge!)
Rewriting Your Inner Critic, so you can finally see that harsh voice for what it really is: a scared protector doing the best it can to keep you safe, and turn it into something closer to an ally.
Building a Self-Compassionate Life, so all of this settles into an everyday rhythm that holds you steady, even on the days everything wobbles at once.
What begins to change…
I'd love to promise you that in a month you'll be skipping through a wildflower meadow toward the life you always pictured. But that’s not really how this personal growth thing works. Often, it’s not dramatic. It arrives in small, ordinary moments you didn’t even realize could change.
You wake up and don't immediately go through the highlight reel of everything you got wrong yesterday and might get wrong today.
Someone asks how you are, and "good, honestly" comes out, and even you’re surprised you mean it.
You say no. And instead of three days of low guilt humming under everything, there's this strange new flicker of pride that you held your own boundary and the world kept turning.
You rest (like really rest), and for once there's no running tally of everything you should be doing instead.
You get something wrong, set it right, and let it go, instead of carrying it around like a stone until Thursday.
You reach out to someone on a hard night instead of going quiet and disappearing, which is your usual move.
You catch yourself mid-thought, mid-unkindness, and you just stop. That’s new. That's everything.
Who You’re Becoming…
This was never about turning you into a brand new person. It's about coming home to the one who's been in there all along, waiting patiently for you to ease up on her.
By the end, you'll know what self-compassion actually is, and what it isn't. You'll be able to settle your own nervous system on a hard day. You'll have turned that inner critic from an opponent into something more like a worried friend who was only ever trying to keep you safe (badly, but sincerely). And when life knocks the wind clean out of you, you'll be able to stay with yourself rather than adding self-judgement to the weight of the pile.
You'll still have hard days (because that’s life). You'll still slip back into the old patterns sometimes (because you’re human). But you'll come back. And that returning, over and over, gently, like a tide that always finds its way in again, is the whole practice.
Here's the moment I want for you most. Some unremarkable Tuesday, months from now, you'll drop a ball. Forget a thing, snap at someone, get it wrong. And the very first voice you hear inside your own head will be a kind one. You'll barely even notice it happen.
That, right there, is everything we're building.
(Six modules and three companion tools, one kinder head to live in.)
Let's make sure this is right for you
This is for you if:
You're worn out from being your own harshest critic, and you want a real, doable way to change it, not a pep talk and a lavender-scented candle.
You've been through hard things, and you're ready to stop beating yourself up about it in the aftermath.
You want something practical you can hold and do, not a mood board of vibes or love and light fairy dust.
You're willing to be a bit clumsy at this in the beginning and stay with it anyway.
This probably isn't for you (yet) if:
You're in acute crisis right now. Please reach out to a professional or a crisis line first. In Canada, you can call or text 9-8-8, any time, day or night. This work will still be here, and it'll serve you far better once you're on steadier ground.
You're hoping to have yourself fully sorted by Friday. This is a gentle practice, and gentle takes a little time. Deeply worth it. Because you can’t rewrite decades of behaviour in a weekend

Meet Claire
For years, the voice inside my head was my harshest critic, and I had no idea there was any other way to live.
I was certain that being hard on myself was necessary. That if I eased off even slightly, I'd come apart, or lose my edge, or turn into someone I couldn't respect. So I white-knuckled my way through every day and every heavy feeling, narrating the whole way with the kind of impatience and judgement you reserve only for yourself.
Then I started noticing something I couldn't unnotice. All that harsh self-talk, and all those big feelings I was such an expert at swerving, were feeding straight into my pain flare-ups and my chronic illness. I couldn't undo a car accident from twenty years ago. I couldn't cure a chronic condition. But I could do something about the world inside my own head. I could learn to handle my emotions differently and speak to myself like someone worth being kind to. And when I did, my body actually answered back.
This blueprint is what I created on the other side of that. It's warm, it's honest, and it's steady, and it's built from tools I actually used to find my way back to myself. It won’t cure your chronic illness, but it will help you become a safe place to land, even if no one ever showed you how.

Fair question. The free workbook is there to steady you when you're in the middle of a hard stretch. This one goes after the pattern sitting underneath the hard stretches, so the next one doesn't pull you under the same way. One helps you get through the storm. This one slowly rebuilds your relationship with yourself, so you stop walking out on yourself the second things get difficult.
-
No. This is compassionate coaching and self-support. It's a beautiful companion to professional care, but it isn’t a substitute for it. If you're truly struggling, please get a qualified human in your corner too.
-
It's all digital, so it lands the moment you buy it, and it's yours to keep with no expiry date quietly ticking. Move through it in six weeks with the emails, or stretch it across a year. Nobody's timing you.
-
I know. That's the whole reason most of the daily practices run under five minutes, and why the emails do the remembering so you don't have to. You don't need a clear afternoon. You need a few spare minutes and a slightly open mind, even if this all feels a bit strange at first
-
Nope. It starts at the very beginning and assumes you know nothing, because "just be kind to yourself" is useless advice if nobody ever taught you the how. If that instruction has always sounded like it's in a language you never got to learn, this was built for you specifically.
-
Because this is a digital product and you have full access the moment you buy, all sales are final.
You've spent years being the strong one.
The steady one. The one who catches everyone else the second they start to wobble.
Imagine turning a small measure of that same care back toward yourself. Just enough that the voice in your head stops treating you like the enemy and starts to slowly sound like someone on your side.
That's what's waiting on the other side of this page. Not a shiny new you. Just a warmer, steadier place to live inside your own head, for the one person you can never walk away from. And that is the beginning of everything.
There's a quiet kind of courage in choosing yourself for once. This is where it starts. Be gentle with yourself, and begin.
